Remembering Marisol

Marisol was a joy to be around. Anyone could lead her. She knew exactly what to do in the show ring. In Halter Class, she always performed beautifully. At our Open Barns, Marisol was trotted out to stand on "the Hill" so she could demonstrate the perfect example of a llama: correct confirmation, straight back, banana ears, four-square stance, high tail set, lovely fiber, and a great personality.
She was gentle, smart, beautiful, cooperative, a great Mom -- and my faithful companion of 14 years.
Marisol lives on in our hearts and through her two surviving sons; Tuck with her intelligence and laid-back personality and Clemens, whose coloring and silky soft fiber are like his Mom's.
